English into Norwegian

The English language has a status as lingua franca in the world, as it is the most preferred as a second language. It is first of all spoken in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, as well as several island states in the Pacific Ocean and in the Caribbean Sea. English is regarded as the third most spoken language in the world (Encyclopædia Britannica, online version consulted on 26 September 2018).

English has been my working language during the last decade, and I continue to use it on a daily basis.
